Veteran synth-pop band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark have donated to charities compensation they received for problems at a recent gig.
The show at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool two weeks ago was dogged by heating problems.
Both the band and their promoter have given the compensation to foodbanks in Liverpool and on the Wirral, where the band hails from.
The band said they wanted to help people in genuine need.
In a statement on social media they said that "despite the heat generated by everyone dancing" the venue had been unusually cold.
They added: "OMD and AEG (our promoter) have decided to donate all of this money to food banks in Liverpool and Wirral to help those in genuine need on behalf of all of our Liverpool and Merseyside fans."
OMD formed 46 years had a string of hits including Enola Gay, Souvenir and Joan of Arc.
