Image source, Getty ImagesRadical preacher Anjem Choudary has pleaded not guilty to two terror offences relating to the banned group Al-Muhajiroun.
The 57-year-old is accused of being a member of a proscribed organisation and addressing meetings to encourage support for a proscribed organisation.
He appeared via video link at the Old Bailey on Monday to deny the charges.
A second suspect, Khaled Hussein, also pleaded not guilty to charges relating to membership of the group.
Choudary was arrested in London by counter-terrorism detectives on 17 July 2023, the same day 29-year-old Hussein was detained after getting off a flight at Heathrow.
Prosecutors allege Hussein helped set up the Canadian branch of Al-Muhajiroun and say he was "in effect working for" Choudary.
The pair will appear at Kingston Crown Court on 4 June for a trial estimated to last six to eight weeks.
Choudary will reappear at the Old Bailey for a further hearing on 23 April.
